Product details

The Ruffwear Flagline Dog Harness in Alpenglow Pink is a lightweight, multi-purpose body harness engineered for everyday walks, trail running, and rugged hiking adventures. Designed with an integrated padded lift handle and a load-dispersing chest and belly panel, this harness provides balanced mobility assistance for navigating steep terrain, outdoor obstacles, or supporting dogs that require extra balance support.

Featuring a sleek, nimble construction, it incorporates six precise points of adjustment to ensure an escape-resistant, customized fit for Large and X-Large dogs. The design includes three strategic leash connection points—an anodized aluminum V-ring on the back and two reinforced webbing loops, including a chest loop designed for no-pull training.

Built for all-day comfort and active utility, it features a debris-resistant inner liner that sheds dirt and fur, along with integrated reflective trim and a safety light loop for maximum low-light visibility.

  1. Unbuckle the harness straps and slip the neck opening over your dog's head.
  2. Pass the chest and belly panels between your dog's front legs, then fasten the side-release buckles.
  3. Adjust all six tension points evenly around the neck, chest, and belly until you can fit two fingers comfortably between the harness and your dog's body.
  4. Attach your leash to the chest loop for no-pull control, or the back V-ring for standard walking and hiking.

Ripstop polyester outer fabric, polyester mesh debris-resistant lining, anodized 6061-T6 aluminum V-ring, nylon webbing leash attachment loops, ITW Nexus Mach 1 side-release buckles.

    Good harness!

Fits dogs perfectly, I was a little slow in learning how to actually put it on.. but that was user error.. now it's quick and easy and fits the dogs love it. Looks good and great location for the leash. Even has a little handle when you have to put your dog in air jail.

Top quality - ideal for whippets

Soft, flexible material unlike many harnesses (including webmaster) that incorporate rigid panels. So ideal for very short haired, fine skinned dogs such as Iggies and whippets that need the extra security of the third row of straps

Keeps reactive dog with deep chest safe!

I have a reactive large dog with a physique similar to a grey hound.- fit: the only harness I've found that can fit her weird physique, the only one I could adjust to her neck, chest and waist. Easily adjustable to accommodate winter gear as well.- security: there is NO WAY she can escape this thing once adjusted properly- comfort: it seems very comfortable, she wears it on road trips and doesn't seem to realize it's on her. She doesn't get bruises even when over threshold and lunging wildly. It doesn't restrict her joints- high quality: has held up to a year of LOTS of lunging, running through grass, jumping in mud, cold, heat, you name it.- lightweight: strong but light as a feather, air dries in a couple hours, with no staining I must add.- force free: it has no martingales or aversive features and has enabled the best results with training- the colors are so cute, I get compliments all the time.Love this harness and will purchase from this brand in the future. Great product, thoughtfully engineered by people who clearly love and understand the needs of dogs and their guardians.

FAQs

Is the Ruffwear Flagline harness escape proof?

The Ruffwear Flagline Harness features an extended body design with six points of adjustability and a third strap behind the ribcage. This anatomical design makes it exceptionally difficult for dogs to back out of or escape compared to standard harnesses.

Do Ruffwear harnesses stop dogs from pulling?

Yes, the Flagline harness includes a reinforced front chest loop attachment. When a dog pulls while connected to the chest loop, it gently redirects their forward momentum sideways toward you, helping deter pulling behavior naturally.

Which Ruffwear harness size is right for my dog?

Size Large/X-Large is designed to fit dogs with a chest girth measuring 32 to 42 inches (81 to 107 cm). Measure around the widest part of your dog's ribcage to select the correct size.
