Product details

The Ruffwear Front Range Dog Collar in Basalt Gray provides lightweight durability and long-lasting performance for active dogs. Crafted with proprietary Tubelok colorfast webbing, this outdoor-ready dog collar resists fading, fraying, and wear caused by moisture, mud, and daily trail adventures. The soft tubular fabric eliminates sharp edges, distributing pressure evenly across your pet's neck to prevent chafing and irritation during long hikes or regular walks.

Engineered with an ITW Nexus Mach 1 side-release buckle, this collar ensures smooth operation and a secure, escape-proof fit. It features an anodized aluminum V-ring for a rustproof, break-resistant leash attachment point that reliably holds strong pullers. To eliminate annoying metal noise, it includes a dedicated Quick Ring ID tag attachment with an integrated silicone tag silencer.

Designed for small dogs with neck circumferences ranging from 11 to 14 inches, this everyday pet collar coordinates seamlessly with matching adventure gear.

  1. Measure around your dog's neck where a collar would naturally lie.
  2. Adjust the collar length between 11 and 14 inches using the sliding plastic tri-glide.
  3. Secure the side-release buckle until it clicks into place.
  4. Attach your dog's ID tags to the separate Quick Ring with the silicone tag silencer, and clip your leash directly to the aluminum V-ring.

    Very Nice

I like this companies products. This collar is rugged, durable, with touches aimed at comfort, and thoughtful features that make it a winner for me. I like the little soft tag so if you have multiple tags, the don't clink as much. I like the metal ring for the dog leash; it feels quality and it has a nice design that I like. Color is great, and nylon material seems heavy duty. I also like that it is a clamp style release collar. It is easy to put on and take off, which is convenient because ours comes off inside. Dog doesn't seem to mind, so that's probably worth five stars.

Durable collar with dog tag silencer and easy leash attachment

I already had purchased a harness, collar, leash and life vest for my small pup and really am impressed with the durability and solid craftsmanship. Most importantly, the fit is spot on. I previously had been using another brand sold at Petsmart, Kong, and found that the fit was not quite right and the apparel seemed uncomfortable to my dog. What really changed my mind from using Kong to Ruffwear was in the life vest. I love to kayak and taking my furry friend is a must. The Kong vest had zero support under the belly whereas the Ruffwear has support from the back, down the sides (and most importantly for the stability of my pup) underneath the belly.Ruffwear has great features on the harnesses where the dog ID tag is attached and can be hidden in a well marked compartment at the neck. The collars have a wonderful design where a soft rubber silencer hangs between the dog ID tag and rabies tag so there is not any noise from the collar on walks. My favorite is the knot-a-leash because when I need a shorter leash I have only to tie the leash in the middle to make it shorter. There is an attachment on the handle for a doggie poop bag dispenser. As a Ruffwear consumer for the past 3 years - I am incredibly happy with their line of products and am now a customer for life. I have 2 more dogs (bigger) and just purchased this for them. Again, can't stress the fit is spot on and makes my walks with my 3 pups super smooth. Thank you Ruffwear!

    Another Great Ruffwear Product

This collar is thoughtfully designed and well made as are all of the Ruffwear products I have owned. Love the tag attachment as it has eliminated the noisy jingle you get from tags on other collars. The metal leash attachment is sturdy so no worries about it breaking. Buckle works perfectly - easy on and easy off. The ombre color looks very nice on my tri color bernedoodle.

This is our 2nd collar from Ruffwear. The previous one was on my Rottweiler 7 years. It wasn't worn but I just wanted a diff color. Thank you to a company for making a good product.
