Product details

The Ruffwear Knot-a-Leash in Obsidian Black is a rugged, climbing-inspired rope leash engineered for adventurous dogs and active handlers. Built from strong, supple 7mm reflective kernmantle rope borrowed from climbing gear, this 5-foot leash handles high-energy pulls and tough trail terrain without fraying.

At the core of its design is an anodized tri-action auto-locking swivel carabiner that prevents annoying tangles and delivers an ultra-secure connection for confident walks. Designed with comfort in mind, the smooth tubular webbing handle protects your hands from rope burn during long hikes or brisk morning jogs.

It also features an integrated accessory loop conveniently positioned for waste pickup bags. Whether you are navigating rugged mountain trails or walking through city streets, this trail-tested leash provides the ultimate combination of durability, high-visibility safety, and reliable control.

  1. Attach the auto-locking swivel carabiner securely to your dog's harness or collar D-ring by twisting and locking the gate.
  2. Hold the tubular webbing handle firmly during walks and use the integrated accessory loop near the handle to carry pick-up bags.

Premium-grade polypropylene kernmantle rope, anodized 6061-T6 aluminum tri-action auto-locking carabiner, durable nylon tubular webbing, integrated reflective trim fibers, silicone swivel cover.

    GREAT LEASH !!!

This leash is comfortable to hold. Locks onto collar and is easy to use once you get the twist motion down. Color is as expected. Light weight and a good length. I haven't tried out at night yet to test reflectiveness

    My favorite leash

Love this leash because it doesn't get all twisted. Also the latch is soooo light.

    Usual outstanding Ruffwear quality 🐾

What else to say? If you own any Ruffwear product you already know the quality is top shelf, and the Knot-A-Leash is no exception, with little touches like swiveling head, that keeps the rope from winding up. The 1/2" thick version is stout enough to handle our two rescues when they're paired together with the Ruffwear yoke harness [yet another Ruffwear home run product], and the reflective weave is extra peace of mind during dark walks
