Product details

The Ruffwear Palisades Dog Sleep Poncho is an innovative wearable sleeping bag engineered to provide complete overnight warmth for adventurous dogs during outdoor excursions and camping trips. Unlike traditional dog jackets that shift or slip off during sleep, this technical sleep poncho features full-body coverage with soft stretch leg loops and a cinching insulated neck baffle that lock warmth in and stay securely in place as your pet stretches, curls, or moves throughout the night.

Crafted with lightweight EcoLoft synthetic insulation, this dog poncho efficiently traps body heat while remaining packable and breathable. The outer shell is constructed from durable, water-resistant ripstop fabric that shields against damp morning dew, light moisture, and trail friction. The soft inner lining delivers immediate comfort for overnight basecamp stays, vanlife road trips, or cold-weather trekking.

Designed for convenience, the poncho includes glove-friendly quick-release buckles and a dedicated rear pin-up loop for late-night bathroom breaks without requiring complete garment removal. Keep your loyal trail companion comfortable, dry, and rest-ready after a long day of exploring.

  1. Unbuckle the side fasteners and slide the neck baffle gently over your dog's head.
  2. Adjust the cinching neck cord to comfortably seal out drafts without restricting breathing.
  3. Place your dog's rear legs through the soft stretch leg loops to secure the poncho across the body.
  4. Fasten the side quick-release buckles and adjust the straps for a snug yet flexible fit.

Outer Shell: 100 Percent Water-Resistant Ripstop Polyester; Insulation: EcoLoft Synthetic Fill; Lining: Soft Fleece Fabric; Buckles and Hardware: Anodized Aluminum and Quick-Release Plastic Buckles

FAQs

How is a dog sleep poncho different from a regular winter dog coat?

A sleep poncho is designed specifically for overnight sleeping rather than active walking. It features full-body coverage, elastic leg loops, and an insulated neck baffle that stay in place when your dog curls up or rolls around inside a tent or basecamp setting.

What size dog sleep poncho should I select?

Measure your dog's chest girth around the widest part of the ribcage. The medium size is tailored to fit medium-sized breeds comfortably while allowing full freedom of movement during sleep.

Is the Ruffwear Palisades Sleep Poncho machine washable?

Yes, clean it on a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Secure all buckles prior to washing and allow the poncho to air dry completely in a shaded area.

Is this product an authentic Ruffwear item imported to India?

Yes, Dropy India directly imports authentic Ruffwear gear sourced directly from authorized suppliers in the USA, ensuring genuine quality and performance.

Does the poncho keep dogs warm when the outer fabric gets damp?

Yes, the EcoLoft synthetic insulation retains its thermal efficiency and warmth-trapping capabilities even in humid or slightly damp outdoor conditions.
